Begin with one routine
Write down who your collection is for and how they will use it. A wash routine, a weekly treatment and a styling routine lead to different product selections. Decide which routine matters most before choosing a long list of products.
Give every product a role
Use a simple range map: cleanse, condition, treat and style. You do not need a product in every group at launch. Explain why each selected item belongs in the collection and what should make the range feel consistent.
Prepare a comparable brief
For each category, record the preferred texture, fragrance, pack size and use instructions you want to discuss. Include your target market, sales channel and reference packaging. Separate essential requirements from preferences so that sample discussions remain focused.
Review before expanding
Keep sample notes in one place and compare candidates against the same brief. Agree on the selected formula, packaging and artwork before expanding the range. Product availability, minimum quantities and timelines should be confirmed for your project.
